hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm how should i know, i just started it and never created a skin in my life. HMMMMM i guess i'll go try and make a WB skin now.
skins for object desktop programs, are stored all over the place. in user documents, now some moved to public docs, i mean, this is really a mess. and there is no way to change where skins are stored, in SDC i can change where programs are installed to, and where program shortcuts are created, but not where skins are stored. this is also bothersome for people on a network with a GPO that forces folder redirection, as some applications like object dock plus do not work correctly then.

it would be really nice if somehow, we could assign a place for skins we download to reside, to fix issues like above.

thanks
Michael

I think everything si migrating to user documents as part of the Microsofft paradigm of separating program files (that do stuff) and what data they use (like skins, or documents).

ok, but....the stardock stuff is in different places, not 1 location. and since some things refuse to work if a group policy is in effect, well then they shouldn't do it. anyways, it's not 1 standard location, thats the biggest problem, second is if the folder is redirected, it also doesnt' always work. just give us the ability to specify where they go, since alot of us have so many, maybe we don't want them there. was much nicer when they were just inside the program files directory
